Weir Training is in a unique position as we can gain access to various sources of government funding, which in some cases can result in the full payment of your business
training and development needs.
Weir Training Ltd, established 15th May 2000, is a training provider delivering and assessing, Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships, National Vocational Qualifications and Vocational Qualifications within a variety of business sectors.
Currently the company employs 3 Directors and 19 full time staff and 1 consultant. The company boasts a wide selection of extremely experienced and highly qualified staff driving the business forward.
In October 2004 Weir Training was proud to have been awarded one of the highest numbers of grade 2s throughout the South of England at the inspection. David Sherlock, Chief Inspector of Adult Learning endorsed this, as Weir Training was mentioned in his annual report 2005-2006, as one of the best performing training providers in the country.
In April 2005, Weir Training became recognised as an Investor in People organisation reinforcing its commitment to customers and staff. The Investors in People Standard is a proven framework for delivering business improvement through people.
In June 2005, Weir Training won the accolade of being recognised as an interim Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) specialising in Retail and Customer Service. The company gained full status in February 2006. Weir Training is unique in the fact that the company gained CoVE status as a sole independent training provider.
In August 2007, Weir Training was accredited with the Matrix standard. The Matrix Standard enables the company to make its information, advice and guidance really clear and explicit and once it’s explicit, the company can monitor and evaluate it effectively. Ultimately, this means the company can respond more effectively to what its clients need, ensuring its advice and guidance influences the lives of learners.
In March 2008, Weir Training retained its recognition as an Investor in people organisation following an accreditation review.
In November 2008 the company gained accreditation of the Training Quality Standard (TQS) status with excellence in Retail. This has now superseded the CoVE. At the time of accreditation Weir Training were the first and only Training Provider in the UK to have achieved this status with excellence in Retail.
In July 2009 Her Royal Majesty’s Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) completed a full inspection on Weir Training.

We are proud that our delivery and provision has been recognised as “Outstanding” and “Good” making us one of the leading training providers for quality in the country.

In September 2010 continued accreditation to the Matrix Standard is granted for the external services provided by Weir Training Limited.
In March 2011, Weir Training retained its recognition as an Investor in people organisation following an accreditation review. In addition the company achieved Gold recognition.
