In November 2016, Weir Training Limited were recognised as a Disability Confident Employer

In June 2017, continued accreditation to the Investors in People standards was granted at Gold status until 2020.

In December 2017, Weir Training Limited were awarded their Non-Levy procured contract to be used from January 2018 onward.

In May 2018, Weir Training Ltd were inspected by Her Majesty’s Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted). The short inspection was converted to a full inspection mid-May following display of areas of excellence during the first day. They went onto showcase their provision over a further three days.

In July 2018, Weir Training Ltd has been named as a leader in people management practice globally, having been shortlisted in the Gold Employer of the year 2-49 in The Investors in People Awards 2018 category in The Investors in People Awards 2018.

1st August 2018, We received a congratulations letter from the CEO of the Education and Skills Funding Agency regarding our Ofsted inspection.

NEW QUALIFICATION LAUNCHED!!!

We are pleased to add a new Apprenticeship Standard – Learning and Development Practitioner ’.

LMs will have sector-specific experience and qualifications, as determined by their employer or professional body, which they use to guide and advise those who are less experienced and new to a work role.

The LM is therefore a ‘dual professional’ having both up-to-date knowledge and skills in a specialist vocational or subject area, together with the generic skills necessary to support learners (as potentially a first step towards a secondary role as an education and training professional).

Weir Training Limited has been successful in the 3rd annual HR & Training Award and has been awarded as being the ‘Best Independent Provider of Business Apprenticeships – UK”

Weir Training Limited have been shortlisted for the Training Provider of the Year category in the 2019 Tes FE awards 2019.

The complete shortlist was formally announced at the AoC conference gala dinner and on Tes online on Tuesday 20th November 2018.

Our Sales Director, Julie Ridley, was invited to guest speak at the ‘Dissemination of the Chief Inspector’s Annual Report Conference 2018’ as an outstanding provider to showcase our journey from Good to Outstanding, sharing best practice with other Training Providers and Colleges in the sector. It was chaired by AELP’s Paul Warner, we heard from Paul Joyce, Deputy Director for Further Education, Skills and Mark Dawe, AELP’s Chief Executive.

Our Directors were invited to guest speak at the ‘Celebration of Women in Apprenticeships Conference’ which was held in Coventry. The Inspiring Women in Apprenticeships Conference celebrated females and apprentices who work in the Apprenticeship Sector. As we are unique, knowing it was a women’s conference, our ladies chose ‘The Greatest Showman’ as their theme to entertain the crowd!

It was a wonderful celebration and incredibly inspiring.

NEW QUALIFICATION LAUNCHED!!!

We are pleased to add a new Apprenticeship Standard – Learning Mentor’.

Mentoring is – and has been for centuries – the foundation of vocational training and apprenticeships, yet this standard is the first formal recognition of this role.  Nowadays, mentoring takes place in all parts of the Education and Training Sector (ETS) and staff-development contexts. LMs support learners of all ages, and all levels, to develop within a new work role.  These learners may be, for example, apprentices, trainees or new recruits (ranging from young entrants, to new CEOs) in the workplace, or in any vocational learning environment.

We are very proud to announce that we have achieved the matrix Standard in November 2020!

What is the matrix Standard?

It is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG). Either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.

The matrix Standard is the Department for Education’s (DfE) standard for ensuring the quality of the delivery of high-quality information, advice and guidance. The DfE supports the matrix Standard as the quality framework for accrediting information, advice and guidance contracts including the National Careers Service, its subcontractors and other services delivered on behalf of the Education Skills Funding Agency.

It helps providers to improve their services by benchmarking against best practice and it offers accreditation to those that meet the full standard.
