Our Business Administrator Apprenticeship provides a fantastic opportunity to learn about the importance of our administrative function within a Central Services Department.
You will be trained to provide administrative support – playing your part in our vision to be ‘The most trusted provider of essential services that keep the UK running’.
What does a Business Administrator Apprenticeship involve?
During the Apprenticeship you will learn to work with employees at all levels of the business. You will support the Learning & Development Business Partners and Learning & Development Officer in planning training events, department Comms and funding applications. You will prepare meeting materials, gather data for the people team dashboards and learn to present this effectively using Microsoft Office tools. You will also be an active ambassador for Apprenticeships – part of a team who attends school careers events and assists with the recruitment of future Apprentices.
Your Apprenticeship will combine on-the-job learning with a programme of training and development.
What will this Apprenticeship offer me?
Our Business Administrator Apprenticeship runs for approximately 18 months and offers you the chance to study towards a nationally recognised qualification while gaining valuable, paid work experience. During this Advanced Apprenticeship, you will work towards a level 3 Business Administrator standard, through a combination of on-line learning, support from your tutor, and on-the-job to gain practical skills and work experience.
As well as gaining practical levels of experience, you will be improving your presentation skills, developing your project management skills and learning business improvement techniques.
Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will be supported by your manager, a mentor and an Apprentice buddy.
Upon successful completion of the level 3, there could also be an opportunity for you to work towards a level 4 Higher Apprenticeship.
Weekly Wage: £346.16
Working Week: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Be able to work as part of a larger team, with attention to detail and the ability to remain discreet with personal information.
If you have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional ‘can do’ attitude this Apprenticeship could be for you. This is an Advanced Apprenticeship and would suit someone who has already gained experience in the workplace.
Must have or be predicted to achieve a minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or 5 or above, including Maths and English
